President Joe Biden’s executive orders are expected to roll back former President Trump’s immigration policies which are already attracting crowds of illegal immigrants hoping to cross the border and come to the United States, Rep. Andy Biggs stated.
“You are going to feel, almost immediately, an impact of people crossing the border,” the Arizona Republican said on Fox News’. “What he is doing is providing incentives for people to come and enter this country and stay in this country illegally.”
A caravan of around 9,000 illegal immigrants marching on the U.S. southern border, remarkably calling on the incoming Biden administration to honor its commitments to migrants.
President Joe Biden intends to sign an executive order immediately to extend the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program that protects from deportation migrants brought to the United States illegally by their parents when they were minors.
President Biden said in December he would slowly reform US immigration policies to avoid triggering a rush of “2 million people on our border.”
The Trump administration implemented the use of Title 42, the part of U.S. code dealing with public health, to slow immigration because of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, which helped to mitigate immigration last year.
Joe Biden has unfortunately promised U.S. citizenship for 11 million undocumented aliens already here in the United States can only serve as an additional enhancement for even more to come here.
