Breaking: Twitter Suspends U.S. Border Chief for Celebrating Success and Protection of the Border Wall

Mark Morgan is the Commissioner for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for a tweet celebrating the success and protection of the southern border wall against illegal aliens and crime. He celebrated the safety that American communities have experienced since the building of the wall began.

Twitter is claiming that Morgan violated the rules surrounding “hateful conduct” for the tweet. Twitter rules state, “You may not promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease.” The tweet from the commissioner did not threaten anyone based on race or any of the other things listed in their rules. It is a fact that people from all over the world travel to the southern border to illegally enter the States; he didn’t make any racist, violent, or hateful comments.

In the past Morgan has made similar tweets about the border wall’s success and has experienced no censorship. But now, seemingly out of nowhere, Twitter is targeting this tweet when other similar ones are untouched.

Speaking about the shutout Morgan said, “If you look at the tweet in question again, every mile helps us stop gang members, murderers, and pedophiles from entering our country. It’s just a fact.” He said that Twitter blocked the post without first consulting with the Department of Homeland Security for the validity of the post and the information presented to be true.

Morgan continued, “I’m sure somebody on that Twitter team has heard that everyone that illegally enters are just good people looking for a better way of life. The American people ultimately don’t get to hear the truth because someone at Twitter, based on their own ideology, pushed a button to prevent the truth from coming out.” He said that this censorship harms Americans as it prevents them from being exposed to the truth.

The DHS says that the wall is on track to reach 450 constructed miles by the end of the year. The BPC says that encounters with illegals have dropped by over 50% since 2019 and the wall is keeping the illegals from trying to enter the country.
